Former Breaking The Set host Abby Martin launches new investigative news show
Abby Martin, former host of RT’s “Breaking The Set”, returns to television with a new show called “The Empire Files”, which will air on “teleSUR English”
The Empire Files will be a weekly, documentary-style investigative show similar to HBO’s Vice. It will air every Friday starting September 4th on teleSUR English. The show will focus on injustice, violations of human rights and civil liberties in the United States and across the globe.
Abby Martin is an artist and former Occupy Wall Street organizer. She founded mediaroots.org and then began on the RT network as a correspondent and soon developed her own nightly show “Breaking The Set”. “Breaking The Set” covered the news of the day and politics from an independent perspective and focused on abuses of power coming from either the right or the left. Abby will continue this practice on her new show “The Empire Files”
“teleSUR English” is a subsidiary of “teleSUR” which is a Pan-Latin American satellite television network. “teleSUR” as launched with the objective of providing information to promote the integration of Latin America. The newly launched “teleSUR English” was launced as an effort penetrate the U.S. Markets.
